Moonloops is the brainchild of 23-year-old singer-songwriter Sarah Dekker. Armed with a battered guitar and an old MacBook, she began recording her own songs in 2020. Since then, Moonloops has outgrown her bedroom and Sarah is living the dreams she so often writes about. Her dreamy vocals and complex harmonies amplify the poetic and vivid lyrics.
In 2021, Sarah won the Kleine Prijs van Fryslân, a prestigious music competition in the Netherlands, and last year she participated in Hit The North, the talent program of Eurosonic Noorderslag. Recently, she has been performing with a band and is releasing a new EP after a handful of successful singles.
Moonloops' music is ethereal and introspective, transporting listeners to a dreamlike state. Sarah's lyrics are deeply personal and reflective, exploring themes of love, self-discovery, and growth. Her music is a fusion of indie, folk, and dream-pop, characterized by intricate guitar melodies, atmospheric soundscapes, and haunting vocals.
Moonloops' rise to success is a testament to the power of hard work, talent, and perseverance. Sarah's passion for music and her commitment to her craft have brought her to where she is today. With a new EP on the horizon and a growing fan base, Moonloops is poised to take the music world by storm.
