French based in Hamburg, Blondine Morisson is a multi-instrumentalist, author, and composer, navigating the independent scene like a true free spirit. As the singer and guitarist of the avant-pop group Savarah, which draws from prog influences, she began her stage career at the age of 16 on the rock pop scene and engaged in numerous collaborations and DIY tours internationally.
From touring in Quebec with her first band to China alongside Girls in Hawai, to Europe with Youth Lagoon, to Senegal with The Blue Peace Orchestra, and to Brazil with her band Savarah, Blondine has traversed diverse musical landscapes. In 2022, Savarah joined the roster of the independent label Whatever's Clever in Brooklyn, and their second album was one of the few self-produced albums shortlisted for the Prix Joséphine. Blondines a Storyteller that cultivated a solid foundation from old french folk songs which she blends with her influences from Prog, Electronica and Jazz. Languages also serves as a musical exploration for her: French, German, Portuguese, or English - each language implies a different singing style, allowing her to express a rich and nuanced geography of emotions. |
